Broadcast Solutions Announces Two Key Appointments

News Image
Broadcast Solutions has extended its technical leadership with two key appointments.

Pierre Mestrez and Maarten Carpentier have joined Broadcast Solutions in support of CTO Rainer Kampe.

The CTO Office at Broadcast Solutions aims to secure long-term technological leadership and drive innovation in media production and distribution. That includes integrating various technologies and systems, developing technical concepts, and closely collaborating with clients to create customised solutions, on premises and in the cloud. Together with optimised service and support offerings, the team reinforces the company’s goal to ensure a superior customer experience and secure competitive advantages.

Pierre Mestrez is appointed as senior director, software and services. He joined Broadcast Solutions in September 2024 from Riedel Communications, where he was responsible for pre-sales and channel partners.

Maarten Carpentier also joined in September, and is now the director of solutions design for Broadcast Solutions. His career has included more than 12 years as CTO at DB Video.

"Our aim with the CTO Office is to build a multidisciplinary expert team of specialists in system integration, solution design, and software services," said Rainer Kampe, Broadcast Solutions CTO. "Establishing standardised methods and promoting open knowledge sharing are essential components of this approach, so introducing DevOps practices is also a key focus for us, enhancing the efficiency of software development and deployment.

"To maintain Broadcast Solutions’ reputation as an innovation leader in the industry, we must bring in the very best talent available," Kampe added. "That is why I am so pleased to welcome Pierre Mestrez and Maarten Carpentier to the team. Together with all our engineering resources, we will continue to exceed the expectations of our customers."

The long-term plan of the CTO Office involves the gradual introduction and integration of new technologies to improve the efficiency, reach and quality of media production and distribution. Challenges such as digital transformation and sustainability are actively addressed to strengthen the company's innovative capabilities and set new standards in the industry.

Future steps for the CTO Office include further defining team structures, developing a detailed roadmap for introducing new technologies, and ensuring that all efforts align with the company’s strategic goals. This encompasses continuous adaptation to market demands, fostering technological innovation, and ensuring that Broadcast Solutions maintains a leading role in the dynamic television industry.
