Emerson Network Power Connectivity Solutions Expands Product Portfolio With High-Performance Solutions

Emerson Network Power, a business of Emerson and a leading provider in enabling Business-Critical Continuity, would like to highlight Emerson Network Power Connectivity Solutions presence at IBC2008.
Emerson Network Power, a leading provider of innovative RF and optical interconnect solutions through its Connectivity Solutions business, has expanded its comprehensive range of products aimed at the broadcast industry. Consolidated under four distinct product lines - Johnson, Stratos Optical, Trompeter and Vitelec - the advanced range includes innovative products ideal for use in video transport applications.
The refined video patch jack series from Trompeter feature self-wiping contacts on the normal-thru actuator and an optimised cover which improves high frequency S parametre effects up to 3 GHz (SMPTE424M). The HDVDP (full size-WECo) and HDVDPM (the smaller mini-WECo) families of light weight HD video patch jerks include enhanced contact self-alignment and redundant points of contact for reliability up to 30,000 mating cycles.
Trompeter Black BNC - the visually distinct and robust HD UPL2000 Series crimp connector from Trompeter is updated for use with the new low loss coaxial cables found in HD applications, where industry-leading low return loss and mechanical reliability and size are critical to maximising the signal to noise ratio.
The Stratos 3G-SDI fibre optic interface technology makes 1080/60P and 1080/50P transport over fibre available. Stratos 3G Video SFP (V_SFP) modules are running 3G-SDI optical traffic at 2.97Gb/s and are key components that establish this must-have infrastructure.
VMAES is a versatile throw down AES embedder and de-embedder ideal for field deployable applications. The new Stratos rugged switchable unit offers the remote embedding or de-embedding of AES audio along with HD/SD video for a complete fibre/copper transport conversion between electrical and optical stream (SMPTE) 292M/297M). There are user options for remote control via an internet connection or locally using the keypad/OLED display feature.
Also new is the Stratos DVI Lite-Blok single fibre solution which is ideal for transporting DVI over up to 1K of multimode fibre. This enables remote placement of computer video monitors in a variety of applications.
Emerson Network Power will also be providing a practical 'hands-on' demonstration of the benefits of its Stratos Expanded Beam optical connector range. This rugged EB technology offers reliable performance in harsh operational environments. The technology is widely used in military field deployment systems and has found its niche in television outside broadcast applications.
Among the extensive line-up of products will be the Johnson and Vitelec range of high-quality, state-of-the-art RF coaxial connectors and cables.
