JVC announce plans for IBC 2004

The JVC booth at IBC 2004 is to have a 'fresh look', emphasising a total commitment to HDV and new media for the broadcast, professional and industrial markets.
Two products sure to generate much interest at this year’s show are the new high definition CMOS chip, SDI camera, the KH-F870 and JVC's latest D-ILA projector, the DLA HD2KE. Both models created considerable excitement at NAB earlier this year and IBC will see the first showing of these models to the European market. The DLA HD2KE displays true, uncompressed HD material at a level of quality that JVC maintain “has to be seen to be believed”.
In keeping with the HD theme, JVC's combination of the groundbreaking JY-HD10 camcorder and CU-VH1 DV/HDV field-recorder will win the hearts of many as they make compact and affordable HD production available to everyone.
JVC has created the new lightweight KY-F560E affordable multi-role camera for those shooting in space-restricted environments. It is a three-chip, 1/2-inch CCD box camera which, with just a few simple accessories, becomes an efficient and cost-effective studio camera.
JVC's tapeless range of products includes the professional DVD recorders, models BD-X200E and BD-X201ME. These DVD recorders are the only professional direct-to-disc devices which maintain the facility of titling and chaptering with automatic thumbnails. In addition to the tapeless range, the SR-DV-M70 Mini DV/DVD dual deck will also be on display.
The combination of the GY-DV5001E camcorder with an integrated DR-DV5000 hard disk recorder will be providing an astonishing amount of production capabilities to visitors of the JVC booth. The DR-DV5000 has the unique ability to be pre-configured by the user to record in the native file format of most major non-linear editors (NLE), including Avid Express, Final Cut Pro, Canopus, and Matrox. This means that, once field shooting is complete, the hard disk can be directly connected to the NLE (via IEEE 1394) making the footage and all metadata instantly available without ‘digitising’ prior to editing. Visitors to the JVC booth will get to see first hand, the time-saving simplicity that this tapeless hard disk recorder gives from recording to production. The JVC model is unlike other disk recording solutions as there are no intermediate steps between shooting and editing.
To complete the JVC product line-up at IBC 2004, the production of quality images displayed on the JVC booth will be from JVC's latest range of DT-V series CRT monitors, large screen plasma displays and TFT monitors.
