XL8 To Transform Landscape Of Live Events

News Image
XL8 is set to transform the landscape of live events by offering cutting-edge AI-powered real-time simultaneous interpretation services at COMEUP 2023.

The startup festival is scheduled to take place at Seoul's iconic Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) from November 8 to 10.

As COMEUP 2023 enters its fifth year, it undergoes a remarkable transformation into a global showcase, attracting delegations from 28 countries, including Saudi Arabia, the UAE, the United States, France, Germany, Switzerland, Japan, Indonesia, and many more.

‍This evolution into a global event underscores the paramount role of live interpretation as the vital bridge that connects diverse cultures and languages, a role perfectly tailored for XL8 to fulfill. XL8's real-time interpretation solution promises to be the linchpin, ensuring a fully immersive on-site experience for all.

This innovative AI-powered real-time interpretation solution seamlessly translates the spoken words of on-stage speakers into multiple languages, providing attendees with translated subtitles on on-site screens and mobile devices. Attendees will effortlessly select their preferred language, transcending language barriers and enabling a more inclusive and engaging event experience.

This innovative solution, a collaborative effort between ONOFFMIX, a comprehensive event platform, and XL8, was launched in October. It is meticulously designed for both online and offline conferences, meetings, and live commerce, rapidly gaining attention within the event sector. It effectively addresses common challenges, such as the scarcity of professional staff and budget constraints.

Tim Jung, CEO of XL8, expressed the capabilities of their translation engine: "XL8's translation engine, trained on top-tier media translation data, stands as the world's premier colloquial translation engine. It has already been instrumental in events such as the Nature Forum at Korea Center for Gendered Innovations for Science and Technology Research, the multicultural family invitation event at the Leeum Museum of Art, and last month's international training course workshop at the National Archives. We are committed to expanding its applications, easing language barriers for customers in live broadcasts and online events worldwide."

In a notable event highlight, Tim Jung will participate as a panelist on the main stage of Art Hall 2 at 5:30 p.m. on November 9th, discussing 'How should AI startups survive in the age of ChatGPT?' He will share insights into his journey from founding an AI startup in Silicon Valley as a Korean entrepreneur, the evolving global media market landscape, and the pivotal role of AI in the industry.
