IMAGINE INSTALLS AVID SYMPHONY

IMAGINE, Northern England’s first and still the only, totally nonlinear post production company have installed AVID's top end finishing system the AVID Symphony.
Garry Cosgrove, imagines Sales Director, said: " We have been looking at the Symphony since early this year and felt that its addition to our facilities would help us to consolidate our existing client base and also open up new possibilities particularly in the Post Production of Commercials".
The Symphony’s major features are Uncompressed pictures, Excellent Colour
Correction and Grading and Real Time Ultimatte Keying. All these features and more add up to making the Symphony the best Top end finishing system available. Imagine aim to target producers of top quality Broadcast programmes and the North’s Advertising Agencies in order to broaden their client base.
The installation of the Symphony is just part of a major upgrade that imagine have undertaken this year. They have also installed an Avid MC 1000XL with version 10 software and earlier this year they installed Dolby Surroundsound in their Audio suite. Both the new Avids run on Windows NT the idea being that the ease of import of third party applications such as Maya, Alias and After Effects will make the facility more versatile and efficient.
The Symphony has already been used to Finish three "After they were famous"
programmes for Yorkshire/Tyne Tees and is currently working on "Stella" a
documentary about Stella McCartney.
