Machinima drama to be made for broadcast television

A revolutionary animated film named 'Rogue Farm' is to be made using Machinima technology.
Machinima comes out of games technology to provide a powerful new way to produce animation at 40% or less of conventional costs. This is the first time this technology has been harnessed for a broadcast animation project.
'Rogue Farm', based on a story by sci-fi author Charles Stross, tells the story of a near-future couple, hidden away in a technologically-advanced but deserted part of the borders, whose marriage is threatened by their reactions to a new, strange threat - a 'Rogue Farm'. 'Rogue Farm' combines the Japanese 'Manga' animated style with Machinima technology to enable this unique project.
"Machinima is a powerful technology, which is why we have been developing and shouting about it for the past few years!" said Hugh Hancock, writer and director of the project and head of Strange Company. "However, 'Rogue Farm' isn't about the technology, it's about the story - a story of two people whose marriage is disintegrating, and how that is affected by change in their lives. They just happen to be living in a post-Internet future, own a shotgun running 'Windows for Warfare' and work with an intelligent, gene-engineered dog."
