Eurotek announce new appointments

Dublin equipment supplier Eurotek Ireland Ltd have announced that Kate Elkins joined their Account Management team on March 1.
Elkins is a qualified Broadcast Engineer, and has much experience of broadcast systems design and engineering. She spent many years at Sony Broadcast, fulfilling several roles in her time there, including Acceptance Engineer, Project Manager, and Broadcast Products Training course developer. She has presented lectures to broadcasters on techniques such as Transition to Digital, Compression Technology, and Advanced User Operations for Digital Operations.
Elkins was appointed European Team Leader for Digital VTR Training in 1996, and was selected to go to Japan to liase with the Sony factory on Digital Betacam technical issues.
A native of Cavan, Elkins has recently spent time as Broadcast Engineer at TG4, and comes to Eurotek to fulfil an Account Management role. She will be responsible for managing Eurotek’s business into broadcasters and OB companies, and other high-end projects, working closely with the existing Eurotek sales team.
Elkin’s experience and knowledge is a welcome addition to the Eurotek team, and is expected to provide a significant boost to the company’s Broadcast division.
This addition to Eurotek comes in the wake of other key developments, which have seen Brendan Gorman heading up the company’s new Project division, with Greg Tully and James Delaney, formerly of Videsti joining as Project Engineers.
Miso Culjat has been appointed Service Manager, with Alan Killian as Service Co-ordinator.
