Ross Video Tackles UHD Signal Conversion With New Solution

Ross Video has introduced its new innovative UHD signal conversion problem solver, Gator-Toolbox.

Launched at IBC 2019, Gator-Toolbox adapts 'any-to-any' HD, UHD and HDR signals in a compact openGear card, with optional fast & adaptive standards converter.

Gator-Toolbox includes all the tools you need to adapt UHD and HD signals to your broadcast production and live event workflows where low latency and quality UHD, HDR and WCG are required. The integrated format converter implements a very fast scaling and deinterlacing technology producing superb results. Gator-Toolbox is also a standards converter, featuring smooth frame-rate conversion with tracking audio resampling, thus enabling straightforward adaptation of foreign standards into your production. Also, users can easily map between SDR, PQ, HLG, and SLOG in any combination, with support for both standard and wide (BT.2020) color gamut. Further tuning is available with proc amp, RGB color correction and audio correction controls. Gator-Toolbox features 12G-SDI plus gearbox (2SI and SDQ) input and output to connect with ease.
