London's Hub This Summer For Talent And Technology In The Creative Industries

Top talent, big industry names, an abundance of inspiring sessions and the latest technology await delegates attending The Media Production Show, being held at Olympia London, 11 -12 June.

Now in its fourth year, The Media Production Show has gone from strength to strength to become the leading showcase for talent and technology in the UK industry. MPS was launched due to demand for a key UK event that brought leading technology manufacturers and service providers together to share insights impacting the future of content creation.

More than 5,300 visitors attended the show last year, with that figure expected to grow further this year. A selection of new theatres and zones have been introduced for June’s event as a response to feedback from both delegates and exhibitors around what they wanted to see at the show. New for 2019 are the Post & Technology Hub, which will feature a series of panels dedicated to the latest technology and case studies across AI, HDR, security and connectivity, a Production and Lighting Theatre which will hold sessions on lighting on location and studio environments and a Sports Zone which will offer delegates dedicated seminars around fan engagement, multicamera direction, live streaming and specialised sports exhibitors.

Annually the show hosts an incredibly strong programme line-up and 2019 will be no different, offering delegates sessions that will delve into the production of entertainment behemoths Britain’s Got Talent and Strictly Come Dancing as well as exclusive insight on Oscar-winning Freddie Mercury movie Bohemian Rhapsody from its production designer Aaron Haye. Big-name speakers include Fulwell 73 producer Leo Pearlman, who will discuss cult hit documentary Bros: After the Screaming Stops and Sundland ‘Til I Die; sound editor and ADR recordist Emma Butt, whose recent work includes hit Netflix series Sex Education, Molinare's senior colourist Jateen Patel, whose credits include TV series Strike Back, feature film Mission impossible - Fallout and upcoming David Bowie documentary Finding Fame. Plus screenwriter Vinay Patel, who shot to prominence with BBC3 factual drama Murdered By My Father and wrote a recent episode of Doctor Who - to name but a few.

In addition to the impressive free content line-up, MPS boasts a notable number of exhibitors all of whom will present products and services across pre-production, production, post and content distribution, and provide delegates with vital opportunities to meet, network and get hands-on with the latest kit. Manufacturer Sony is one of those set to exhibit a host of cloud-based technology and services at this year’s show. Sony Professional’s head of marketing and communications Stuart Almond said MPS presents an ideal opportunity to showcase its products. "We want to talk strategy directly with our customers. We want to know how, when and what it is we can do to help make any migration to new ways of working seamlessly. That’s why Media Production Show for us is a good platform to show how our cloud-based technology and services are allowing our customers to capture, manage and deliver more engaging content faster."
