News Image
A new short-form comedy series penned by 'About a Boy' author Nick Hornby has found a UK distributor.

See Saw Films' 'State Of The Union' will be broadcast on BBC Two in the UK, and features 'Gone Girl' actress Rosamund Pike and Irish comedian Chris O'Dowd.

Stephen Frears, known for directing 'Dangerous Liaisons' and more recently 'Philomena', helmed the show which follows Louise and Tom (Pike and O'Dowd) who meet in a pub immediately before their weekly marital therapy session. With each successive episode we piece together how their lives were, what drew them together and what has started to pull them apart.

The series is made up of 10 episodes, each 10 minutes long.

Nick Hornby said: "I am delighted that State Of The Union will be shown on the BBC - it's absolutely the right place for it, and it was hard for us to imagine any other home in the UK."

State Of The Union is a 10x10' See-Saw Films production for SundanceTV. The producer for See-Saw Films is Amy Jackson. The Executive Producers are Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kousetta, Iain Canning, Emile Sherman, Nick Hornby and Stephen Frears.
