ATG Broadcast upgrades BT Centre auditorium

ATG Broadcast has completed a major upgrade of the corporate presentation facilities at BT Centre, the London headquarters of British Telecommunications plc.
The enhancements provide closer integration with audio-visual equipment in BT Centre's 175-seat auditorium, which is used for seminars, press briefings and announcements to analysts.
Originally installed by ATG in 2001, the auditorium's television facility has been extended from three-camera to four-camera operation. Each camera is mounted on a Radamec motorised support enabling pan and tilt adjustments to be made remotely. Modifications were made to a Custom Consoles desk in the control room to incorporate the new camera steering system.
The project also involved expanding the electronics links between the control room, studio and auditorium. The existing 16-input/16-output Pro-Bel router is now equipped for 48-input/48 output operation.
Simon Frusher, manager of the BT Centre video facility, said: "We were greatly impressed by ATG's efficiency during the original installation and had no hesitation in choosing the company for this upgrade."
ATG Broadcast managing director, Graham Buchanan, added: "We take great pride in being chosen once again by BT to work on such a high-profile installation. BT sets high standards in all its operations and the corporate television studio at BT Centre, using reliable and flexible serial-digital-interface technology, is one of the most advanced of its kind."
