FINELINE BROKER NEW POST-PRODUCTION HOUSE

A NEW independent post-production house is making its mark in Edinburgh, thanks to strong financial backing from broadcast finance specialists, Fineline Media Finance.
Avatar, launched by Simon Hill and Nick Wright, enlisted Fineline’s help to set up a substantial editing facility, with four Avid suites and a range of additional multimedia services.
Hill said: “We have all the editing and graphics facilities necessary for broadcast television, film, corporate and commercial work and have the in-house personnel to match. There is a strong corporate sector here, a healthy film industry and exciting production companies, so we are confident the market is durable and ready to develop further.”
Wright said: “Fineline are an established leading name in the broadcast finance and has helped us by putting the relevant funding in place for all our editing equipment, which has helped by Mitcorp. It was important for us to start with the best technology base, so we are fortunate to have the understanding of a finance partner which knows the industry and are prepared to back new ventures.”
Avatar are building a strong portfolio of clients in Scotland and will make the most of potential custom from Edinburgh’s strong financial corporate and advertising sectors. (CD)
