ITV4 Commissions Dolph Lundgren Entertainment Show

News Image
ITV4 has commissioned Twofour to produce new Dolph Lundgren entertainment show 'Take The Tower'.

Mr Lundgren, famous for roles in 'Rocky', 'Universal Solider' and 'The Expendables', will host the show. He will challenge some of the toughest members of the public to a combination of physical challenges and quiz questions. Contestants who manage to make their way to the top of the 'tower' will win a holiday. The show will tap into classic movie tropes, requiring toughness, brains and stamina.

Melanie Leach, Chief Executive, Twofour, said: "This is probably the most bonkers idea we've had the good fortune to make. But in the words of the A Team, it's so crazy, it just might work."

Paul Mortimer, Head of Digital Channels and Acquisitions, added: "Take the Tower will anchor a night of new, original series this coming Autumn on ITV4 as we push forward with a commissioning strategy that puts male-skewed entertainment at the heart of Prime Time on the channel."

The show was commissioned by Amanda Stavri, Commissioning Editor, Comedy & Entertainment for ITV, and will be executive produced by Melanie Leach, Andrew Mackenzie and Rachel Watson. The show will be represented internationally by Twofour Rights.
