DAR RESTRUCTURES WITH AMEK

HARMAN International Industries have announced a restructuring programme for Digital Audio Research (DAR), involving a relocation of the business to the new AMEK Manchester location.
This reflects the clear synergy that exists between the DAR and AMEK brands. The DAR products will benefit from AMEK's state of the art manufacturing facilities, ensuring the greatest possible product consistency and reliability.
John Carpanini of Harman said: “DAR and AMEK have many common distributors worldwide and all sales and marketing activity will be consolidated under Head of Sales, Craig Lovell. Craig has been closely involved with both brands over a number of years, and combining the sales activities under his control also makes excellent commercial sense. The decision to relocate DAR reinforces our commitment to the recently-launched Trigger Audio Replay System, for which we have high hopes in the market. At InterBee in November, where it was officially launched, Trigger attracted considerable interest and sales are already looking encouraging. We also have a strong user base for the DAR STORM and OMR8 networked audio workstations worldwide. The DAR brand continues to have a strong and exciting future."
The current DAR product range encompasses: the acclaimed SoundStation STORM networked audio workstation. Capable of handling extremely large projects, SoundStation STORM is scaleable up to 128 internal tracks, and supports sampling rates of up to 96kHz, plus 16 and 24-bit operation; the 24-bit 8-track OMR8 disk recorder/editor system, which is acknowledged as one of the most flexible, capable and expandable machines in its class and the Trigger Audio Replay System - a unique, flexible and powerful instant-replay system for television productions, as well as for radio, theatre and live events.
