CHINA CENTRAL TELEVISION AQUIRE ACCOM ABEKAS DVES

CHINA Central Television (CCTV) have purchased 22 Accom Abekas Dveous digital video effects systems for new facilities within their Broadcast Operations Centre in Beijing.
All 22 units will be housed in various new post-production suites for a new channel CCTV is implementing. This purchase represents a total installation of 40 Dveous DVEs in use at CCTV.
CCTV, broadcasting since 1958, is the only national television network run by the central government of the People's Republic of China. CCTV now has 10 nationwide channels reaching a peak audience of over 450 million throughout China. Channel 4 is also broadcast outside of China to dozens of television stations in Asia, Australia, Africa, and in the former Soviet Union republics.
The Dveous family of digital video effects systems offers a twin-channel architecture that can be used in a dual-video or a video-plus-key configuration--along with a full-bandwidth drop shadow. A second twin-channel can be added, providing four fully independent video or key channels (eight independent video or four video + four key channels with Brutus.
