Gramercy Park Studios Redevelops London Facility

News Image
Gramercy Park Studios has upgraded its facility in central London.

The new workspaces include five VFX and finishing suites and a new audio suite and the infrastructure overhaul will help to meet the demands of the post-production industry.

Specialising in a range of audio post production genres, Gramercy Park Studios' new 5.1 / 7.1 mixing suite is fitted with large-scale Avid audio processing solutions providing sound for post-production. An Avid Pro Tools S6 mixing console with Pro Tools HDX and Pro Tools | HD software has been installed, with the easy-to-use interfaces of the consoles offering the operator a quick and easy solution in high pressure situations.

GPS has also expanded its rendering capabilities by adding a GPU Render Server, featuring the latest NVidia Cards. The GPU server will also accelerate the process of stitching 360 degree content for the growing demand for virtual reality projects.

The expansion of the facility follows the appointment of Joe McNally as the new head of editing following Vee Pinot's move to GPS New York, strengthening their creative offering in the U.S. The reconfigured space will continue to house production teams and also utilise the original meeting rooms, breakout areas and a coffee bar on the ground floor of the London facility.

Richard Ireland, Managing Director, Gramercy Park Studios, said: "Our infrastructure advancements will more than double our rendering capacity, allowing our artists to iterate often, present more versions and deliver more complex jobs. We pride ourselves on taking a collaborative approach with our clients and the new equipment throughout the redeveloped spaces will help meet our growing customer demand, benefitting in-house productivity and overall quality of delivery."
