International animation event in Dublin Castle

MEDIA Desk Ireland and Media Antenna Galway will host a panel and networking session in Dublin Castle from January 25-26 2002.
Organised in association with Cartoon Masters, a specialist programme designed for animators entitled ‘Opportunities In The Media For Animators’, is to be held on Friday, January 25, in the meeting room of the Irish Film Centre between 6.30pm and 7pm.
The Cartoon Masters session will cover state-of-the-art technology for animation and all the latest innovations in second and third generation software. There will also be instruction on how to employ the tricks of the trade and how to get the most out of new technology. The event will be attended by over 40 international delegates and 20 Irish animators.
The chief executive of Media Desk Ireland, Siobhan O’Donoghue, said: “The holding of this Cartoon Masters event is timely, given the international recognition and interest in the creative energy of the Irish animation sector.” (GMcG)
