FOCAL International has announced the schedule for its Footage Continuing Personal Development week.

Running from 19 – 23 September 2016 in London, the course provides an introduction to the commercial audio-visual industry from archive to exploitation, and is designed for anyone who needs to know more about the footage industry.

The schedule is as follows:

Day 1: 19th September
Takes place at the Imperial War Museum, covering the history of film and video technology and includes hands-on experience using different film formats.

Day 2: 20th September
Attendees will travel out of town to experience restoration processes in action, plus tour Pinewood Studios followed by the integration of the BBC Motion Gallery content into the Getty Images collections at BBC Television Centre.

Day 3: 21st September

This will be led by a panel of professional researchers who will cover all aspects, from the project briefing, accessing the content, through research, copyright clearance and third party rights to include artistes, music, sport and formats plus delivering for the edit.
