Academic Softimage|XSI draws on program's top features

The Academic version of Softimage|XSI includes the same features as the professional versions used to create celebrated games like 'Half-Life 2' and 'Resident Evil Zero' to movies like 'Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines' and 'The Matrix Reloaded'.
Everything is there for students to learn, test and create with - no watermarks on render, no hidden limitations in the application. The Academic version places all the tools in students' hands to give your demo reel the same look and feel as professionally produced 3-D animation.
The distinctive Softimage|XSI v.3.5 environment enables students aspiring to be the next generation of animators, game developers and artists to bring their creative visions to life faster, and with less effort. With all the new capabilities and refinements to the software’s interface, modelling, texturing, animation, simulation, SDK and rendering toolsets Softimage|XSI v.3.5 helps you get ahead in this competitive market.
In addition to including hundreds of new tools and refinements to increase creativity, productivity and reliability in any project, the Softimage|XSI v.3.5 environment also seamlessly and completely integrates mental ray v.3.2, the new version of the award-winning rendering technology from mental images GmbH & Co. KG.
Installation and setup support is provided by Softimage Customer Service. Additionally, students and teachers have complete access to the same online support resources provided to commercial customers with annual maintenance contracts.
Consult the Knowledge Base and take advantage of downloadable gifts such as presets and scripts to extend your knowledge and take full advantage of the XSI production environment.
