BSkyB sell off Manchester United stock

BSkyB have sold the whole of their 9.9% shareholding in Manchester United PLC.
The price per share paid of £2.39 reflects the closing price on October 6 and both the final and special declared dividends.
Prior to the sale, BSkyB held 25,950,827 Manchester United PLC shares, and will therefore receive gross proceeds of approximately £62 million.
In 1999 the Government blocked BSkyB from buying Manchester United under competition rules.
