A Night With Angela Douglas

Elstree Studios has hosted a Christmas book signing and Q&A event with the British actress, Angela Douglas, who's career highlights include The Saint, The Avengers and Digby – the Biggest Dog in the World.

The event hall at the Studios has been decked out in a Christmas setting to host numerous Christmas parties over the next few weeks providing the perfect venue for the evening. The event the first of many planned with other Elstree Studios Film and Television stars was well attended.

Over 60 guests came from far and wide to enjoy a glass of mulled wine and mince pies and listened to Angela Douglas talk about her long career in film and television including some backstage stories about making of the Carry On films, other actors she had worked with and her former marriage to film superstar Kenneth More.

At the end of interview conducted by Morris Bright, Elstree Studios Chairman and Film Historian; there was also an opportunity to buy Angela Douglas’ autobiography, signed photos and the new Elstree Studios book celebrating Elstree Studios 90th year.

In the New Year Elstree Studios will be announcing more "Evenings With" events and hope that they will become a not to be missed evenings at the Studios.

Roger Morris Managing Director of Elstree Studios said: "Last night’s Evening with Angela Douglas was such a success that we will definitely be hosting similar events throughout the whole of next year our 90th Anniversary."

Currently Elstree Studios are the studios for "Strictly Come Dancing", "Celebrity Big Brother", new mega drama series "The Crown" and BBC Studios and Post.
