dB Broadcast launch MDF management & documentation system

At this year's IBC, dB Broadcast will launch a powerful, yet simple-to-use, Windows-based application for the management and documentation of MDF frames, utilising the popular Krone LSA-PLUS IDC system.
The system, called KMaDS, can be installed as a stand-alone application on a single-user PC, or as part of a multi-user client-server environment, enabling the application to be run on any workstation connected to the network.
One of the major strengths of KMaDS is that it requires a minimum of keyboard data entry, once the system has been set up to the user's requirements. Even then, this is simplified by the inclusion of a database (supplied as part of the application) containing popular cable types and block types.
This database can be customised by the users as required.
By using this minimum keyboard approach, not only is data entry time greatly reduced but the possibility of typing errors is minimised. In fact, in relation to the input of jumper data, it is possible to jumper an entire frame without the need for typing: all jumper actions are carried out using only the mouse.
Furthermore, using KMaDS, it is impossible to enter "one-ended" jumpers.
