SignaSys awarded KLCS-TV project
KLCS, the Los Angeles Unified School District's PBS affiliate, has purchased its encoding, multiplexing, and datacasting equipment and services from SignaSys.
This project is part of a complete studio rebuild at KLCS to enable comprehensive digital content distribution model to Los Angeles Unified School District campuses. Teachers and students will have the capability to access Near Video on Demand (NVOD) and rich media content directly from the classroom or library computers via video/data streaming.
SignaSys is set to begin procuring the KLCS equipment immediately, including TANDBERG Television's 5710 SD Encoders, MX5620 Multiplexers, and TT1260 Receiver Decoders as well as Triveni Digital's SkySkraper(tm) data broadcast system. Delivery is slated for late September, after which SignaSys will be on site at KLCS for commissioning, site acceptance testing, and training.
