Vimond And Vizrt Announce New Integration

News Image
Vimond and Vizrt have announced a new integration to help broadcasters manage video content for online and on-air use. The integration will premiere at Vizrt's booth (SL2417) and Vimond's booth (SU9017) at NAB 2015.

Vimond Highlights version 1.6 allows editors to aggregate and record multiple live digital feeds and extract clips which are then ready to publish directly on an online TV service, a social media site, or export the clips and metadata to Viz One for lifetime management. Editors generate clips through an intuitive interface, where they can scrub through video feeds, set in and out points and generate a video clip with a single click. Clips are then generated in multiple formats and are ready to distribute to Viz One, as well as other destinations such as Facebook and YouTube.

"Vimond Highlights was designed to facilitate content creation and distribution when time matters the most. Our goal was to reduce video highlight publishing from minutes, and hours in some cases, to seconds," said Glenn Pedersen, cto at Vimond.

Viz One, Vizrt's media asset management (MAM) system, ingests the clips published by Highlights and makes them available for searching, previewing and editing on every workstation in the production environment. Through the browser-based interface, media companies can send the clips to a playlist for use on-air or online. Highlights retains links to the clip and can make further edits to the content.

"Story production is the most important part of the daily news creation process and to aid this, journalists need to have all available assets at their fingertips," said Petter Ole Jakobsen, cto at Vizrt. "The integration of clips from Vimond Highlights into Viz One gives the journalists content used for web that can then be repurposed for on-air use and managed with the full power of Viz One. This gives them the best tools to tell their story for any output channel."
