'Lennon Report' Begins Filming

'The Lennon Report', a new film depicting the events of the night John Lennon was shot and killed in 1980, has begun filming in New York City on November 4.

Richard Kind, takes on the role of Dr. Stephan G. Lynn, the doctor who was running the emergency room at Roosevelt Hospital the night of John Lennon’s death. He is joined by Stef Dawson (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and Mockingjay- Part 1) as Nurse Kammerer, one of the head nurses who tended to John Lennon after the shooting.

Evan Jonigkeit (X Men) has been cast as Dr. David Halleran and Stephen Spinella (Milk, Lincoln) as Dr. Richard Marks. Adrienne C. Moore (Orange is The New Black) will also portray a doctor on the scene, and David Zayas (Gotham) will play Officer Medina, the head of security at Roosevelt Hospital.

Gregory Barr makes his feature-film debut as John Lennon with Karen Tsen Lee (Law and Order: SVU) as Yoko Ono. Co-writer of the film, Walter Vincent, also making his feature film debut, will portray reporter, Alan Weiss, who broke the news nationally from the hospital while being treated for a leg injury from a motorcycle accident.

Devin Ratray (Home Alone) will portray Neil Goldstein, the ABC News Assignment Editor that Mr Weiss called from the hospital to break the story.
William Pennen (Jake’s Dead) has signed on to take the role of New York City Police Officer Riley.

Filming is slated to go through mid-December with editing immediately following.
