Tedial To Unveil New MEP At IBC2014

News Image
Tedial, supplier of MAM technology solutions, is unveiling its new Media Exchange Platform (MEP) at IBC 2014 on stand 8.B41.

Tedial's new MEP is aimed at content producers, broadcasters, pay-TV operators, service providers and telcos to enable collective work on media.
Broadcasters and telcos can provide their media partners in multiple locations with access to all media and related rights and contracts information throughout the content production lifecycle (such as programme making, news, co-production, promos, etc.).
Tedial provides a central media exchange platform with automated workflows to deliver to multiple sites and third-party systems. MEP maximises re-use and minimises re-working of material and allows large media assets to be moved, making use of Tedial's centralised management capability without the need for extensive IT support.
The MEP also provides global monitoring of media exchange processes using live dashboards and business reports that allow service providers and telcos (pushing content) and distribution platforms (pulling content) to exchange media automatically. Typical back-end processes that Tedial streamline prior to media exchange include: checking content locations and workflow status, checking where content has been sent from, applying transcodes, adding subtitles and checking quality etc.

Additional MEP features include:
• Integration with customers local PAM systems - media and metadata
• Manages the multiple physical versions, audio languages, subtitles and other ancillary information
• Intuitive Tedial content Enrichment tools for adding search tags, editing, cataloging, subtitles and languages
• Automatic packaging of content and metadata for downstream delivery

"Tedial's Media Exchange Platform is based on our years' experience with multi-site deployments including production, archive, post production, playout, and distribution," says Esther Mesas, Vice President Sales & Marketing, Tedial.
"Whether it's upstream during news, sports and co-production or downstream during multi-platform packaging and distribution, Tedial has directly integrated multi-tenant media exchange and monitoring into its core media workflows.
"The thousands of multi-format content exchanges now required by media companies and telcos every day for broadcast and non-linear distribution can be managed and monitored centrally by Tedial."
Tedial will also be highlighting new Adobe® Premiere Pro CC® editing functionality within its Tarsys Media Asset Management (MAM) system at IBC2014.
