Curious Software release World Maps v3.8

Curious Software has released Version 3.8 of its industry-standard map creation software, Curious World Maps. The new version incorporates a number of features and updates that are particularly aimed at existing users.
Among these is the inclusion of High-Resolution Image Combining – a separately licensable option. This allows multiple large image files to be combined to make a single, large multi-resolution ‘Curious Multi-Resolution’ file. This is ideal for combining a number of geo-referenced satellite images into a single file which can be used in Curious World Maps in an extremely interactive and memory efficient manner. The combining tool also allows for colour correction and other adjustments to the source images.
Also newly available for use with Curious World Maps v3.8 is USA Enhanced Topography. This is the first in a series of high-resolution terrain (DEM) data sets to be released by Curious Software to accompany Curious World Maps. The data set is a 30m-terrain data set covering the USA (60m for Alaska). It is issued in Curious’ easy to install and use CDM format.
Other new features now available include control over the drawing and style of Latitude & Longitude; and the ability to easily Scale Export Images to create very high-resolution images from lower resolution projects. There are also a number of additional Improvements to existing features.
