Arirang TV Installs SGL FlashNet

SGL has announced a key sale to Arirang TV, an English-language network based in Seoul, South Korea.

The first international, free-to-air TV channel broadcasting in the region, Arirang TV has installed an SGL FlashNet archive fully integrated with a Geminisoft Ariel MAM system. The installation was carried out by South Korean systems integrator SBS Newstech.
The seamless integration between SGL FlashNet and Arirang’s Geminisoft Ariel MAM system allows content delivered to-and-from the archive to easily be reformatted from MOV to MXF files. Arirang TV produces fast turnaround 30-minute news programmes, every two hours, 24/7 365 days per year and Korean lifestyle and cultural programmes. As well as providing a scalable archive, SGL allows full support for LTFS-formatted archives. This was a key driver in Arirang's purchasing decision.
