RØDE, Universal Audio And API Sponsor APRS Sound Fellowship Awards Lunch

RØDE, Universal Audio and API, in association with their UK distributor Source Distribution, were thrilled to act as this year's platinum sponsors of the annual APRS Sound Fellowship Awards Lunch at the Kensington Roof Gardens in London – hosted by Sir George and Lady Judy Martin.
Now a regular event in the recording industry calendar, the annual Sound Fellowship Awards Lunch recognises individuals who have made a significant contribution to the art, science or business of sound recording. This year saw the awards presented to seven recipients - seminal British guitarist Jeff Beck, guitarist, composer and producer Nile Rodgers, Grammy award winning engineer Jerry Boys, A&R legend Chris Briggs, engineer and studio owner Adrian Kerridge, founder of AMS-Neve Mark Crabtree, and engineer/producer Phil Ramone – for whom son B.J. Ramone accepted the award posthumously.
Source were particularly pleased to be joined at the event by API's President Larry Droppa, Universal Audio’s Director of International Sales Jed Allen, engineer/producers Haydn Bendall and Tony Platt, Graham Meek – technical manager of British Grove Studios - and pro audio magazine publisher Richard Lawn. An impressive list of previous Sound Fellowship Award recipients were also in attendance, including Glyn Johns, Ken Scott, Robin Millar, Rupert Hine, Chris Thomas, Eddie Veale and Maggie Rodford.
David Hamilton-Smith and Peter Filleul acted as joint MCs for the lunch, and the annual Harewood Toast was delivered by Fran Nevrkla OBE, Chairman of PPL. Finally, Jeremy Lascelles, CEO of Blue Raincoat Music, gave the President’s toast in honour of Sir George Martin.
