Northern Irish creative partnership formed

Three local companies have come together in partnership to create the eye-catching title sequence and print logos for a new global television series.
‘Chasing Time’, a thirteen-part travel challenge series, has been devised and produced by Brian Waddell Productions in Holywood, County Down for the Washington-based National Geographic Channels International.
It has begun previewing in Asia and will be premiered worldwide in autumn 2002. It travels to thirteen cities, including Cape Town, San Francisco, Mumbai, Mexico City, Hong Kong, Vancouver, Buenos Aires and Dublin.
The production company was keen that the graphics and titles should reflect the content of the series. BWPL turned to its Holywood neighbour Slater Design, who had recently revamped the company’s corporate image and screen logo.
Designers Iain Slater and Stephen Hamilton developed a strong, contemporary, global identity, in keeping with the dynamic nature of the programmes, and adapted it to communicate across the print, animation and web media.
It was left to the creative team of Jonathan Fetherston and Alan Parry at 4 x 4 Production and Post in Belfast to translate and visualise the design concept onto the screen.
