Twofour sells two factual series to Sky Travel

Plymouth-based television production company, Twofour, has sold 13 half-hours of factual programming to British Sky Broadcasting.
The two series, 'Park Life', six half-hours which go behind the scenes of Alton Towers, and 'Newquay', a seven-part documentary which follows a group of teenagers through their summer in the surfing capital of the UK, were first broadcast on five.
"This deal is a direct result of our first trip to MIPTV in Cannes earlier year," said Jason Langley, Twofour's Head of Commercial Development. "Newquay and Park Life were both produced under the old terms of trade, but current changes in programme ownership for independents have made us look at our strategy and realise the value of our back catalogue. It's great that these series will find a new audience," he added.
Twofour is part of the 4SouthWest initiative which aims to boost the TV business in the South West, including by selling existing programmes to new broadcasters. 4SouthWest is backed by Channel 4, the South West Development Agency and South West Screen.
