Framestore CFC receive two D&AD nominations

Framestore CFC is once more well represented in the D&AD Award nominations this year, which were announced last week.
Two spots – Xbox ‘Mosquito’ and Xbox ‘Champagne’ - received Silver nominations in the ‘TV and Cinema Advertising Crafts: Special Effects’ category, and ‘Mosquito’ was also given a Silver nomination for ‘TV and Cinema Advertising Crafts: Animation’ category.
Now in their fifth decade, the D&AD (Design and Art Direction) Awards, familiarly known as the Yellow Pencils, set the international benchmark for the very best in design, advertising and creative communication.
Leading agencies and design groups worldwide, clients, in-house studios, architectural practices, as well as film and post-production companies participate.
This year they received 21,500 individual entries from 55 countries. The D&AD judging panel of 240 internationally renowned creative practitioners narrowed the field down to 143 Nominations.
‘Mosquito’ and ‘Champagne’ have already received recognition for animation and special effects at both this year’s LEAF and BTAA Craft Awards.
The winners will be announced on 28th May 2003 at a gala ceremony at Earls Court 2 before an audience of over two thousand industry practitioners.
