BAFTA Announce Craft Award Nominations

BBC One's adaptation of Great Expectations by Charles Dickens has been named the leading nominee for the Bafta TV Craft Awards, which honour behind-the-scenes programme-makers.
Birdsong, Downton Abbey, The Crimson Petal and the White all feature heavily on the shortlist for the prestigious awards leaving a wide open race for the UK broadcasters.
Great Expectations bagged seven nominations, five nominations were awarded to Frozen Planet and Birdsong while Appropriate Adult,the drama based on serial killer Fred West, secured Four nominations.
Downton Abbey, Top Boy, Sherlock and The Crimson Petal And The White all received three nominations.
The X Factor, Terry Pratchett’s Choosing To Die, The Royal Wedding and The Hour have two nominations each in a wide-open race for the Broadcasters.
The ceremony will be held on Sunday 13 May 2012 at The Brewery in East London.
