Gee Broadcast partner with Dalet for newsroom solutions

Gee Broadcast have announced a partnership with Dalet Digital Media Systems.
Gee manufacture the Geevs range of Broadcast Video servers, while Dalet provide the DaletPlus News Suite solution for TV newsrooms.
The partnership agreement will provide close integration between these systems to enhance the capabilities of both companies' product ranges. Work on the integration is already in progress from both sides.
A demonstration facility, being set up at Gee Broadcast's facility in Basingstoke, will allow prospective customers to view and evaluate the benefits of this solution.
The open architecture of Geevs allows easy integration with other systems to provide flexible and cost effective solutions.
DaletPlus News Suite for TV news production provides a full end-to-end solution, but is modular to let users create a system to meet their specific requirements. DaletPlus allows journalists to work with text, audio and video, photos and news feeds on a common interface, with tools to interface to teleprompters, character generators and other TV equipment. This common interface, together with a networked and integrated solution, ensures great productivity for journalists.
Now, using Geevs servers, rundowns can be transferred for play-out at any time or updated with late breaking stories in a streamlined way.
This gives journalists more time to prepare their stories and ensure they get the best impact from each news programme.
