mediARC Improvements Aid Metadata And Access Content Organisation

NOA Audio Solutions has announced mediARC™ 1.6 service release, the latest iteration of NOA's workflow, media, and metadata system.
The firm believe with this upgrade, broadcasters and archivists will be able to work more easily and efficiently with metadata.
The new version of mediARC supports comprehensive batch editors, which ease batch executions of metadata. Also, materialized links can now be edited in place using only a keyboard, whereas before the linking of objects was only possible via drag and drop. In addition, mediARC for Web (MAW) now supports streamed documents via the new Web Preview Server, as well as single sign-on (SSO) over the Web engine.
"mediARC's new features give content librarians the tools they need to create metadata more rapidly and accurately," said Jean-Christophe Kummer, NOA Audio Solutions CEO. "The new linking feature allows for controlled redundancy by keeping a clear object structure in a more typical semantic Web style. And we've answered our customers' request for SSO for Web."
A new DTD editor allows for easy creation of self-made processor definitions for integration with third-party modules, meaning a faster integration process in roll-outs of the product.
NOA Audio Solutions will be demonstrating mediARC at IBC2012 on stand 8.D91. The service release for 1.6 will be available in Q4/2012.
