Prime Focus Commercial Exec Joins Soho Square Studios

Soho Square Studios has recruited former Prime Focus Commercials Executive Paul Willey to the role of business development and co-production manager as it looks to cement its position as one of the country's leading audio post production houses.
The appointment will allow the independently owned central London facility to broaden and diversify both its UK and US client base particularly in the broadcast sector where Willey has a strong track record.
Commenting on the appointment chief executive officer (CEO) and founder Kim Goody said: "Paul is joining at a very important time for the studio. Our work has increased significantly over the past year and we have a strong new business pipeline. The appointment of Paul will help to build upon our existing client base and strengthen relationships with prospective clients. Paul will be a wonderful addition to a talented and hard working team and we are delighted he is joining Soho Square Studios."
Willey has more than 12 years experience of both long-form and short-form broadcast post-production. After spells at The Machine Room, Blue and Pepper Post he joined Prime Focus in 2009 where he was responsible for spearheading the company's expansion into the UK drama market.
Willey said of his new role: "The business of post production has changed beyond all recognition since I joined The Machine Room some 12 years ago; but the need for specialist, bespoke, and highly creative finishing services remains undiminished. Kim, Alan and their team are a hugely talented bunch. Their understanding of client-care and personal attention to detail is genuinely refreshing. I am really looking forward to working with them to grow their business and build on their enviable portfolio of creative projects."
With Willey on board Soho Square Studios will look to build on the success of the last twelve months, a period during which the company has benefitted significantly from changing its name to one that better reflect its position as a leading audio post-production house and to capitalize on its unique central London location.
Goody added: "Any concerns at re-branding as Soho Square Studios last year seem wholly unfounded now. In fact it seems the best decision we have ever made! The sheer footfall of new clients has been remarkable and long established clients can only think of us as Soho Square Studios now.
"Most notably, is the marked increase in workflow by at least 30% on this time last year, with advertising and film leading the way. Most excitingly, is that the upward trend looks likely to continue with some high profile brands and projects currently in production and in the pipeline."
The uplift in work following the re-brand has seen the company work on some significant new projects including Specsavers 'Garage - Super tough lenses', Hyundai's 'Determination' Euro 2012 spot and work on an entire Homebase campaign.
Other recent credits include Sky1's "Don't Stop Me Now" and "Jono: Finding my Family on Facebook" for BBC3 as well as the feature film Justin And The Knights Of Valour.
