new Pablo: 'Revolution In Choice'
For the first time customers have complete freedom to choose full specification software or turnkey systems as Quantel launch new Pablo at NAB 2012.
new Pablo is a software high-end color and finishing system that runs on standard COTS (Commercial Off The Shelf) hardware.
The firm claim that it opens up a revolution in choice - offering new freedom to customers in how they buy and specify their system. The powerful system is configurable and designed to integrate into modern Stereo3D and high frame-rate post pipelines.
Choices on new Pablo include:
• Software-only or turnkey in a range of configurations
• Storage architecture – local, SAN, NAS or combination
• Number of GPUs
• Video i/o or network
• Neo, the new Neo Nano, or no color control panel
All configurations of new Pablo include the high-end Pablo 2D and S3D color and finishing toolset. It also supports ACES and RED HDRx alongside ARRI, Canon and F65 – and high frame-rates too.
new Pablo uses the latest nVidia Maximus multi-GPU technology to deliver blistering interactive performance. For example, new Pablo was demonstrated on the Quantel booth working interactively with RED EPIC 5K files at 48fps in Stereo3D.
Also introduced at NAB with the new Pablo is the Neo Nano compact color panel, ideal for applications outside the main suite. Neo Nano is also supported by Quantel’s Qube broadcast craft editor.
