Twickenham Film Studios In Administration

News Image
The film studios recently used for the Iron Lady and My Week With Marilyn have gone in to administration.
Work at the renowned Twickenham Film Studios will be wound down between now and June.
This news follows reports that the film studio has lost money over the past three years. A spokesperson also confirmed that it is unlikely that the business will be retained as a film studio and that over half of the 17 staff have already left.
Classic movies shot at Twickenham, which opened in 1913, include Sherlock Holmes film The Missing Rembrandt, made in the 1930s, and the Beatles films Help and A Hard Day's Night.
More recently War Horse and Horrid Henry: The Movie were made there, while director Phyllida Lloyd completed post-production on The Iron Lady at the historic studios.
The studio was due to celebrate its centenary next year.
