               Studio AKA Nominated For Oscar
UK- based studio, Studio AKA, has been nominated for an Oscar, for its animated short: A Morning Stroll.
Directed by Grant Orchard and produced by Sue Goffe, the animated film shows what happens when a New Yorker walks past a chicken on his morning stroll. In essence the viewer is left to wonder which one is the real city slicker as the event plays out over a period of 100 years.
Meanwhile Pixar’s ,I Tawt I Taw a Puddy Tat, is a new Tweety and Sylvester cartoon made in 3D and based on a song recorded by the late Mel Blanc decades ago.
Also in the running is The Fantastic Flying Books or Mr. Morris Lessmore, from award-winning children's author William Joyce.
Dimanche/Sunday, directed by Patrick Doyon, La Luna, directed by Enrico Casarosa, Luminaris, directed by Juan Pablo Zaramella, Magic Piano, directed by Martin Clapp; Hugh Welchman, producer, Paths of Hate, directed by Damian Nenow, Specky Four-Eyes, directed by Jean-Claude Rozec, director; Mathieu Courtois, producer and Wild Life, directed by Amanda Forbis and Wendy Tilby make up the final ten.
The members of the motion picture academy's Short Films and Feature Animation Branch will select three to five nominees from this list. The Oscar nominations will be announced Jan. 24; the awards will be presented Feb. 26 at the Kodak Theatre.
