Discreet clients nominated for Best Visual Effects Oscar for ninth consecutive year

All three feature films nominated for the 76th Annual Academy Awards Best Visual Effects Oscar used Discreet’s technology to create their top-notch visual effects, marking the ninth year in a row that Discreet clients are nominated for this award.
Nominees ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl’ (Buena Vista), ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King’ (New Line), and ‘Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World’ (20th Century Fox) captivated audiences with magical worlds crafted by inferno, flame, fire and lustre systems from Discreet, a division of Autodesk.
