Cel-Soft Appoints Manage Online As Japanese Distributor

A leader in software development for 3D television programme production and file-based signal analysis, Cel-Soft, has announced the appointment of Manage Online Corporation as its distribution partner for the Japanese market.
Established in 2001, Manage Online offers a range of IT-based services including 3D content creation and 3D production systems integration.
"Manage Online has demonstrated a serious commitment to the 3D future, building on its proven strength as a specialist in the supply of 3D video production systems," Cel-Soft Founder and managing director Robin Palmer comments.
"Its exhibition stand at the 16-18 November InterBEE 2011 in Makuhari Messe attracted a lot of visitors already active in 3D production or planning to invest in the stereoscopic future. Anyone who thinks television broadcasting five years from now will still be 2D really isn’t watching the market."
"Japan was one of the first countries to introduce stereoscopic broadcasting when the BS11 network commenced its 3D channel in 2008," added Manage Online’s President Hiroshi Okubo. "Japan’s mainstream broadcasters are now looking very seriously at 3D which is quite obviously the future both for television and cinema. Cel-Soft’s Cel-Scope3D provides all the tools camera crews need to ensure that they capture attractive, realistic and easy-on-the eye 3D content," he said.
"Cel-Scope3D software can be run on a fast modern laptop which is ideal for production people working on location.
"Getting everything properly aligned during the initial shoot is much more efficient than having to perform intensive repairs during post-production.
"Cel-Scope3D enables cameramen to implement alternative creative options that are impossible to simulate in post. It is also very useful in the editing studio. All relevant images and data are displayed in a style which is easy to understand, including high-visibility alerts when 3D elements are beyond recommended tolerance."
The latest version of Cel-Scope3D, 1.4, can analyse file-based content as well as live or recorded signals in dual-stream or multiplexed formats. Recently added features include automatic depth-chart logging and automatic detection of edge-violation. Cel-Scope3D allows stereoscopic camera alignment to be performed quickly and confidently, ensuring 3D is accurate from the moment of capture. Footage and edits in a wide range of file formats can be viewed and assessed in real time. Disparities are analysed and displayed as clear and intelligible graphics on 2D or 3D monitors. Anaglyph display, user presents and on-screen-alarms are all provided.
