Exterity To Demonstrate Market-Leading Range At xSolutions

The business communication technology event xSolutions, will be taking place this week at Excel London, from 19 - 20th October.
The event provides a platform for organisations to introduce technologies and products to a multitude of buying streams, throughout the UK and Ireland.
Throughout the show, Exterity will be showcasing its market-leading range of enterprise-class IPTV solutions, including recent additions to their portfolio. It will be demonstrating how it enables organisations to distribute high-definition live TV and digital video content over building, campus or wide area IP networks.
Some of the updates include the new AvediaPlayer Viewer which offers integration capabilities supporting the delivery of live HD TV and video streams via PC desktop applications including Microsoft Office. This improves corporate and internal communications as live TV, video addresses from the Chief Executive Officer, corporate training and more can all be accessed in Outlook, utilising space alongside employees’ emails for viewing.
Also on show will be the new AvediaStream Transcoder, enabling organisations to repurpose content to reach the widest possible audience. HD sources can be transcoded for delivery to the desktop, over Wi-Fi to mobile devices or for distribution over WAN/internet to remote offices and employees. H.264 MPEG video streams can also be converted to MPEG 2. This is great for integration with existing SD TVs, STBs and specialist AV equipment that doesn’t support broadcasters’ emerging preference for H.264 transmissions. This removes barriers to implementation due to previous investments in technology.
These additions to Exterity’s family of Building IPTV products bring a brand new set of functionality for the streaming and distribution of TV and video content over IP, further improving enterprise communications and allowing seamless integration with third party technologies including digital signage providers.
“We are looking forward to demonstrating the benefits of our technology in front of a targeted professional audience at xSolutions,” said Colin Farquhar, Chief Executive Officer, Exterity. “Exterity’s technology allows businesses to gain absolute control of their TV and video content, making it accessible well beyond the reach of traditional AV distribution solutions. In an increasingly visual age, where cutting edge technology is expected, we are enabling organisations to make substantial communications improvements without compromising the quality of the users’ viewing experience or the performance of the organisation’s IT infrastructures.”
