Roll To Record Wins Two Year Contract For Big Brother

A multi-million pound deal sees a robotic camera specialist return to the Big Brother house this year.
Roll To Record, a leader in HD and SD robotic camera systems and semi-permanent studio installations, announced today that it has won a multi-series, two-year contract to provide the production infrastructure for Big Brother, Celebrity Big Brother and all of the various spin-off shows. The series will be produced for Channel 5 by Initial, an Endemol UK company, with the first series kicking off tonight.

Roll To Record, which previously worked on over ten series of Big Brother for Endemol, will create and install three purpose-built HD studios and broadcast galleries on site at Elstree Film Studios. It will provide the robotic cameras inside the house and other cameras in the studios, and technical staff to manage the installation throughout each series run.

Roll to Record is working in partnership with speciality camera systems company Camera Corps , enabling the robotic camera technology to expand and evolve. This partnership will offer the Big Brother series, and other future projects, the collective strengths that both these established organisations bring to observational coverage.

Mick Bass, Commercial Director, Roll To Record, said: “We are very excited to be invited back to the Big Brother house. We will be bringing our considerable past experience on the show, together with a state-of-the-art infrastructure and an exceptional technical team.”
