Beijing Crystal CG Evolves Into Film Scanning For 2012

Official Digital Mascot provider to the 2012 London Olympics, Beijing Crystal Film & Animation Technology, has taken delivery of a new diTTo Evolution 2K and 4K film scanner for its prestigious head office in Beijing.
This well established VFX business was the provider for the highly acclaimed Beijing 2008 olympic graphics and digital mascots; gaining worldwide recognition and bringing its business to the attention of the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games (LOCOG).
As the Official Digital Imaging Services Provider for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Crystal CG's digital images will be used to asset in the planning and communications around the 2012 games in a variety of areas including venues, games operations and sport presentation. The team will also be involved in creating visuals for marketing, branding, design and logo creation for the games.

Hence Crystal Film & Animation Technology can cover the entire film DI services to the largest market area, and then with GETOP which is on the ground in Greater China provide localised film DI technical support and services. I believe this will provide the greatest competitive advantage of Crystal to the wider market."
Cintel's Sales Director, Simon Carter, added: "diTTo Evolution's low noise and superior image quality provided a real benefit to Beijing Crystal CG department, as it facilitated prefect transfers for the animation effects and digital compositions needed for its post production and CG market."
