Woman's Hour Red Nose Show To Be Broadcast Live From MediaCityUK

BBC Radio 4 programme Woman's Hour is to be the first live broadcast from the brand new audio facility located within The Studios at MediaCityUK.
Jenni Murray and a host of comedians including Jo Caulfield, Katy Brand, Susan Calman, Al Kennedy and Justin Moorhouse will broadcast a live comedy special today (March 18) in aid of Red Nose Day.
The Studios, MediaCityUK are operated by Peel Media and SIS and will be used by the BBC when they move to their new home in the North.
Andy Waters, Head of Studios for MediaCityUK, said: "We're delighted that the Red Nose Day special for Woman's Hour will be the first live show to come from our new multi-purpose audio studio here at MediaCityUK. It is a great space that has been kitted out with the latest technology, making it a perfect place to make live or pre-recorded radio programmes and music recordings."
Fresh from her own stand-up debut, Jenni Murray will be relying on her comedian guests to provide the laughs. There will also be in-your-face cheeky humour from musical comedy duo, Busting Out.
If you'd like to be in the audience for this special edition of Woman's Hour, a limited number of free tickets will be available for the show through the BBC Audiences tickets line at: The Studios, MediaCityUK were officially opened in January 2011 and include 7 HD studios and two audio studios.
