Zenith Gives dnp Perfect Lift-off

dnp Denmark , a leading supplier of optical projection screen technology, reported an outstanding response to the launch of its new Zenith rear projection screen at last week's ISE 2011 in Amsterdam.
Aimed at the 100"-plus market, the new display pays homage to the fact that recently, brighter, more powerful projectors have become available. This has given rise to new challenges, such as how to prevent hot-spots showing up on the screen, while at the same time improving contrast/brightness uniformity and balancing viewing angles. This has been achieved with a low gain (of 2.2), along with more tint, and an anti-glare surface that minimises reflected ambient light and produces optimal 'eye-gonomics'.
Proof of concept at ISE was in the form of a 128" Zenith display in partnership with Hitachi 5000 ANSI lumens projectors.
Drawing on the engineering services of their UK distributors, Paradigm Audio Visual, dnp commissioned a rear projection rig, in twin mirror configuration to mount the double stacked CP-X5021N XGA projectors. A ViewFlex Mirror System was used to correct the image geometry and ensure that the optimised presentation arrested the attention of passers-by.
Once in production, Zenith will be targeted at TV studios, control rooms, conference rooms and other applications where high-quality images in ambient lighting are essential.
Søren Kraemmergaard, dnp Global Sales Manager, said: "Zenith enjoyed an excellent world premiere at ISE and proved beyond doubt that it delivers superb image quality when paired with modern high performing projectors.
"When it comes to high quality and large image sizes, optical projection screens from dnp still lead the way - in both front and rear configurations.
"ISE 2011 again proved to be a great show with a lot of optimism and belief in the future of thet AV industry. And our partners exhibiting at ISE did a fantastic job demonstrating dnp screes through the various halls."
