Megahertz win IMC contract
Following the successful completion of a contract to supply 13 new fibre vehicles to BT Broadcast Services last year, Megahertz Broadcast Systems has strengthened its relationship with BT with the award of yet another contract.
The Cambridge-based company will use the IBC platform to announce the new contract, which involves the complete technical installation of the new International Media Centre for BT Broadcast Services at the BT Tower in London.
Megahertz will be working closely with BT over the next few weeks selecting the equipment for the system, which forms the heart of the UK’s broadcast distribution network, handling some 3,000 channels.
Technical installation work is scheduled to begin in October, with the operations due to be transferred from the existing area during May 2003.
