TF1 France And Vox Germany Announce Local Versions Of 'My Mum, Your Dad'

TF1 in France and Vox in Germany are the next major broadcasters to announce their editions of My Mum, Your Dad, the fast-selling, second chance dating format created by father-daughter duo Greg Daniels and Haley Daniels with ITV America’s ITV Entertainment, originally for HBO Max.

ITV Studios France and ITV Studios Germany will produce the series in their respective markets.

The news follows the recent official naming of the UK show, formerly known as The Romance Retreat, where it will be hosted by TV icon Davina McCall and produced by Lifted Entertainment, part of ITV Studios, for ITV1 and ITVX this Autumn.

In addition to the UK, France and Germany, My Mum, Your Dad has aired successfully on TV4, produced by ITV Studios Sweden and NINE Network, produced by ITV Studios Australia where a second season is underway.

ThreeNow and Three have commissioned the show in New Zealand where it will be a co-production between Warner Bros. International Television Production and ITV Studios Australia, taking the number of announced versions of the show to seven with several more to be confirmed in the coming months.

Ruth Berry, Managing Director of Global Partnerships at ITV Studios, said: "My Mum, Your Dad is one of the most exciting formats we have seen for a long time - full of heart and laughter, but oh my god is it awkward! We've been desperate to talk about how well it’s been selling, but there's only so much we can share when it comes to a format like this."

A dating show with a difference for the whole family, My Mum, Your Dad follows a group of single parents who have been nominated by their young adult kids for a second chance at love. Across the season, audiences will be able to follow the single parents, from all over the country, and all walks of life, as they live together at a stunning country house retreat with one objective: to find true love.

But there's a twist - unbeknownst to the parents, their grown-up kids will be watching their every move from a nearby location called ‘The Bunker’. It is there in the surveillance room that they’ll be able to witness all the action of their parents’ journeys to find love, plus get the opportunity to play matchmaker and decide their mum or dad’s dating fate.

From humorous moments to heartwarming confessions, the young adult kids will see their parents in a whole new light as they are presented with opportunities to select who they’ll be matched with on one-to-one dates, and who may join the family celebrations for years to come. Get the tissues at the ready as we witness the highs and the lows, the tears and the funny moments, of finding love again.

My Mum, Your Dad originated in the US, produced by ITV America's ITV Entertainment in association with Rombola Entertainment for HBO Max. The executive producers are Greg Daniels (Creator, Upload; Developer, The Office US) and Haley Daniels, Simon Thomas, Bernie Schaeffer and showrunner Sam Dean.
