ADB And Evolution Digital Bring Tru2way To North American Small Cable Operators

Advanced Digital Broadcast, a leading supplier of technology to the global digital television industry, has announced that Evolution Digital, a leading distributor of digital solutions for bandwidth reclamation and next generation advanced set-top boxes, will become a key partner for ADB's advanced line of tru2way set-top boxes for smaller cable operators.

Evolution Digital will carry the full line of ADB STBs for cable operators, all of which are integrated with OCAP software from Osmosys including the ADB-6880CDX HD DVR. This fully interactive dual-HD media centre with PVR functionality allows consumers to watch one program and record up to three programs simultaneously. It is DLNA certified, so it can act as a home networking server or client over Ethernet and MoCA interfaces. Consumer enjoyment is a central deliverable for the ADB-6880CDX: with 3D graphics and an extra-fast set-top box performance, the entertainment experience proposed to home users is richer and smoother than ever before.
Evolution will also distribute the ADB-6820CD and the ADB-4820CD products.
The ADB-6820CD supports home networking allowing it to share all compliant content in the home. This OCAP unit is AVC based and compliant with SD and HD transmissions at MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 levels. It is fully DLNA compliant and offers an optional MoCA interface.
The ADB-4820CD is both a high performance tru2way certified device and, with its ultra-slim, "set-back" design, the first box that doesn't crowd shelf space next to the flat screen TV but sits behind it.
