Lightworks Software Expands

Lightworks is releasing Software Version 1.3 for Alacrity and Softworks featuring Native Editing for many formats. True Native Editing expands the On Line capability of Lightworks' great editing toolset.
Lightworks 1.3 includes many new features and advances to offer faster and easier editing for On Line Video and Film Production. With realtime mixed format editing and true Native support for avi, mxf, quicktime, DPX and RED files, Lightworks 1.3 offers easy integration in the world of open file transfers. Supported formats include HDV, XDCam and P2. Also supported for interchange are OMF, AAF, DPX sequences.
The new Native Editing is included in all Lightworks editors, Alacrity, Softworks and Softworks LE ensuring the best possible quality is maintained.
The Native DPX support completes Lightworks' transition from its heritage of off line to now provide complete on line operation as well. This opens up the speed of Lightworks to many more applications and users.
Building on Lightworks proven multi-seat editing, 1.3's full Networking support for simply sharing projects now supports more and larger volumes. This allows easy integration with very large storage arrays over 100TBytes.
Lightworks 1.3 maintains full metadata interchange and Native file format support with the Geevs video server allowing great integrated tapeless systems to be built. Enhanced support in 1.3 ensures editing while recording very close to live.
Available as an optional HD Codec pack for Lightworks 1.3 is support for Native Editing of RED raw files and Prores422 files from Final Cut Pro. Lightworks is leading the way in offering these facilities in the Windows based editing environment.
